Brian Stokes Mitchell plays Scott Knowles in Mr. Robot. Mitchell's career spans film, television and Broadway, where his baritone voice has been heard in musicals such as "The Man of La Mancha", "Ragtime", and a concert version of "South Pacific", and "Kiss Me Kate", for which he won a Tony Award. Mitchell is also a highly sought-after concert performer, having sung with some of the country's greatest orchestras, including the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, The Boston Pops Orchestra and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.

Mitchell has a varied film and television career. Among his appearances are guest roles in Glee, Madam Secretary, Ugly Betty, Crossing Jordan, and Frasier. He lent his voice to the animated film The Prince of Egypt, where he sang “Through Heaven’s Eyes”. Mitchell also records, releasing the album "Simply Broadway" in 2012.
