Freddy Lomax is a lawyer who has ties to the Dark Army. In 2015 he was blackmailed by Elliot Alderson and Mr. Robot and told them about the Cyprus National Bank and John Garcin, both tied to the Whiterose.
He killed himself in fear of the Dark Army's revenge when he realized Elliot had no way or intention of protecting him.
